Let's go! 👇
Together with Nom Nom
Using real science to make real, good food for dogs 🐕
You dog may not be able to tell you when they're healthy but with Nom Nom, you can tell when their health improves.
A dog’s health starts in the gut — a better diet means softer coats, more energy, better breath, and smaller and more consistent stools. Nom Nom's food is full of fresh proteins, and the vitamins & nutrients your dog needs to thrive. You can see the vegetables they use — peas, carrots, kale, and more. Fresh really means fresh with Nom Nom.
Now, you can get 50% off all two-week trials (or the first two weeks) of Nom Nom.
1. Help us decide where to invest
Earlier this year, we launched ALTS 1 — a ground-breaking, first-of-its-kind alternative investment vehicle that holds a variety of assets, including vintage vinyl, wine, action figures, whisky, crypto, tequila, and more.
We're ready to launch our second fund, but we need your help to fine-tune it.
Here's what we know for sure:
It's going to be an income-generating fund dealing with cash-flowing alternative assets.
The target return will be in the 10% to 20% range.
It will be more liquid than ALTS 1 with quarterly redemptions (at least).
It'll be for accredited investors only (sorry).
There are two ways we can build it, and we want to know which one you'd prefer:
Alternative real estate only: senior living, short-term rentals, self-storage, data centers, farmland, and similar.
A broader alts portfolio: some of the above + music royalties, merchant cash advances, franchises, litigation finance, spirits, en primeur wine, trade finance, credit, and other opportunities.
As always, thanks for your support.
2. OMFG LOL
If you're not a Twitter nerd (like me), you may not know that things are going very, very badly there.
The company's new policy of allowing anyone to get verified (they are who they say they are, whether they really are or not) for $8 has led to loads of hilarious behavior. Some of it is moving markets.
Here's a thread of the most entertaining bits:
3. Who's The Boss?
It's not Tony Danza. The Boss is the 700lb grizzly bear that's ruling Banff national forest.
The Boss, aka Bear 122, boasts an impressive resume:
In 2013, hikers stumbled on The Boss casually devouring a black bear, which it had hunted and killed earlier that day.
The next week he was spotted eating an elk.
Years before that, The Boss was hit by a train and survived.
The Boss is the father of some 70% of the cubs inside his 2,500 sq km dominion.
He's like Hank the Tank's muscular bigger brother.
4. Steve Jobs's $218k sandals
Someone just paid $218k for the pair of Birkenstock sandals Steve Jobs wore in the 1970s and 1980s.
According to Jobs's former partner, Chrisann Brennan, “...the sandals were part of his simple side. They were his uniform. The great thing about a uniform is that you don't have to worry about what to wear in the morning."
If a pair of game-worn Michael Jordan sneakers can fetch north of $600k, why not a pair of sandals worn by Steve Jobs?
The winning bidder also got a 1/1 NFT representing the sandals.
I don't know why.
5. The largest automobile manufacturer
You might guess it's Toyota, which shipped 9.5m cars in 2020. But you'd be wrong. There's a company out there that sells 16 vehicles per second, and you've almost certainly owned one yourself. My kids have dozens.
Since 1964, Mattel has sold over four billion Hot Wheels vehicles. That also makes it the most popular toy of all time.
Not just a toy, but also an investment.
Check out some of their other treasures.
